The fabulous Indiana State Fair

The fam and I made a trip back home this past weekend for the Indiana State Fair. Now, I haven't been since I was a kid and I must confess... the reason I really wanted to go? I was looking at an issue of Indianapolis Monthy and there was a piece on the State Fair. With a photo of corn dogs that looked ah-MAZING. So, that's why I wanted to go to the fair. Oh, and becuase I thought Noah might, MIGHT, have a good time.
So, we packed it up, invited our friends the Clarks and headed for the Fairgrounds. And was it something special. I have never seen so many fried foods in one place, it was insane. And also incredibly tempting. But I was good and didn't get the fried butter (which I thought about, just because I was curious), the donut cheeseburger, the chocolate cover bacon or a plethora of other artery clogging amazingness. I did, however, get what I went for. The corn dog. And it was just as amazing as it looked in the magazine.
